Toilet Seat Tie Wrap
I guess the store was out of white zip ties when the seat broke. This always seems like a good idea till someone pees all over the seat and you can’t clean under it.

Actually the lid will open fine, since the zip ties are not interfering with the hinge, but instead they are fed through the holes for the plastic screws that come with a new seat and last a few months. White or clear zip ties would have been better.

From the look of things, cleanliness doesn’t seem to be an issue with them. So I guess its all good.
