Profession​al tire repair

The submitter wrote: “Hole in tire fixed with rope and silicone. No tire plugs in stock at work”  OK call me crazy but those tires look way past repair stage.

  5. Looks like a temporary repair. You’re at work and you’re getting ready to go home and see your tire is flat but you have no spare so you improvise. Thing is, and I assume silicone means caulking, you better wait for it to dry completely before inflating it again so you might as well have just called for a ride from somebody and stopped at a store that has real tire plugs instead.

Once I used industrial strength super glue to glue a nickel over a hole I had in my sidewall. that didnt work well because it was stiff so I started using a small circle of vinyl about the size of a dime. The vinyl was flexable so it wouldnt pop off as easy as the nickel. it would come off just about every day but it got me back and fourth to work quite a few times
