“Apparently I live deeper in the south than I realized. My wife and I saw this masterpiece in northern Maryland while driving on i95. The siding, plywood, and truck cap were truly nice. But nothing beats the re-purposed cabinet doors installed on the side.”
Chimney Build
The submitter wrote: “If you’re not going to build your chimney above your roof line, be sure to fireproof the siding with a metallic paint.”
Dog Kennel MESS!
The submitter wrote: “This is my boyfriends idea of a dog kennel. He used siding from a torn down shed to make a roof. The dogs kept digging out so he put an air tank in the hole. This hole caused the gate to not open so he welded a big wheel on the bottom. He also had to use a bungee cord to hold the gate up. The dogs were getting out between the fence and the house so my boyfriend welded metal stakes to the rebar holding the gate up. The dogs still got out so he put some stumps in front (if you look behind the “No Smoking” sign you will see another stack of logs too). The welds holding the fence panels together eventually broke and the kennel collapsed. Luckily the dogs weren’t in it.”
