Redneck Recycling (Video)

This is how a redneck builds a high tech pneumatic can crusher! A+ to this Bubba and I agree you need a automatic feeder then I would say a patent on this bad boy!

  1. It requires two hands to operate the switch. For that inadvertent safety feature I call a Bubba fail.

  3. Auto feed chute + foot pedal to operate equals MEGAWIN

Recycling is something I approve of 110%

  5. The fact that it requires two hands isn’t a fail. That’s to keep the kid from crushing his own hand. Not to mention two hands to activate is an OSHA requirement.

  7. Yeah, well who cares about a redneck’s hands anyway Biff?

I figure they’re pretty much the trash of our society, so let it rip! I’m sure the corporations wouldn’t mind loosening the safety restrictions a bit so the jobs could stay in America and the Red State Trash could get some sweatshops going… Just a thought.

  9. I say that is a win-win… The hand operated control is effective keeping the operator from trying to cram cans in quickly and operate with the other hand, using both hands to operate the control is much safer.

Now if they put on a feeder, basically a chute to feed them and a guard around the front to keep hands out you could use a foot pedal and go to town on this puppy!

I love it! I have spent hours with manual can crushers, they suck.

  11. I don’t get the remark about needing an autofeeder. I watched the video and I saw an autofeeder.

Or does the inventor of the machine has to put the cans himself in the compactor?

    See?
