Potted VW Bug

Call me crazy but I totally love this.  This almost makes me want to run off to a salvage yard to find a WV Bug.

  5. Looks like a good use for it. About the only thing they are good for is converting to dune buggies.

  7. That looks like it’s in much to nice a condition to not be restored and driven.

  9. I love Bugs. Why do people tear them up and ruin them with stupid paintjobs and such? I prefer the newer ones though, so it’s okay that this is an older one used as a giant flower pot. Still, I hope it’s damaged beyond repair, because otherwise it’s a waste of a good car to be using it like this.

  11. OP, you better be an experienced redneck mechanic that will buy the VW to fix it, and not some rich lunatic with ignorance and no knowledge of white trash car repair or mechanics skills saw it in half just use it as a flowerpot.

I say “experienced white trash car mechanic”, because a lot of modern rich people think that an engine in a junkyard car, or a rusty engine, or one that is seized up can not be run again, and will rip out all the original parts when it is not necessary to do so. They never even bother to diagnose the engine or attempt to use gasoline and oil or some other penetrating lubricant to get it un-seized. They just strip the $500 car down to nothing, and pump it full of the most high-tech $20,000 parts…then all that originality is lost. :-(
