Dude, you got pwned by a lug nut!

Who in their right mind cuts a rim apart to removed a stuck lug nut?? Congratulations you were just pwned by a lug nut! Here is a hint, next time drill it out (the center) or better yet leave the job to a professional.

  1. I hope this isn’t the mechanic that rotated my tires at Tire Kindgom.

  5. This might be one of the dumbest things i’ve ever seen. You seriously got beat so bad by a lug bolt that you had to cut your wheel apart? wow.. wow.. that IS NOT how you remove a stud!

    super mega epic fail lulz

  7. I’ve seen this before, if you look closely you will see that the offending lug nut is a locking lug nut. Most probably the centre is stripped out leaving the option of having to cut the wheel off. Most other means of removing the wheel will have damaged the wheel to the point that it would be unsafe to use anyway.

  9. Stuck lugnuts often come from idiots in garages who don’t want to take the time to do it manually and they use air guns. You cant on a lock lugnut. A friend of mine made the “mechanic” drive out to his house to loosen his lugs because he couldn’t due to the “mechanic” overtightening them. But that still don’t excuse the idiot ruining the rim.

  11. That’s why I hate locking lug nuts. People stealing the wheels aren’t the problem; losing the key is.

  15. The proper way is to beat a socket on the lug nut then loosen that wa y we do that all the time for stupid people and yes you can use an air gun on a locking nut just dont impact it as hard as the reg lugnuts

  17. Lance08 has it; best way is to beat a socket one size too small on that nut and remove it that way… drilling it out may not be an option as it may be a lug bolt (if it’s a vw), which it looks like it might be seeing as the threads stop right before where the “nut” would be. But yeah, taking the sawzall to a rim… I would have used an angle grinder, more sparks.

  19. Can always weld a tyre iron onto the lock-nut and remove it like a normal wheel-nut.

  21. Drill out the center, turn a bolt left-handed thread into the hole. Wahlah!
