   I think i live with this guy.. he uses duct tape for EVERYTHANG!!!(LOL)

   Nothing wrong with that as a TEMPORARY repair (especially if it springs a leak in the middle of nowhere!) until you can replace that leaky hose PROPERLY.

   this fix will work for a half inch split also just to get you somewhere to fix it proper
