  1. better fix the cover with 2 screw under the wooden bar: you take the glass jar with 1 hand untwisting it, and you have a better arrangement. and you never lose the cover!

  3. How is that white trash?
A lot of people do that, it’s a great way to stay organized.

  7. I plead guilty. The idea of screwing the lids to a board has merit also. I use a fishing tackle box with adjustable compartments, too; saves having to run back and get the right size screw. They’re all there in one place.

  9. I don’t see how this is supposed to be a redneck thing.

You need a screw, you likely get a box of them. What are you going to do, throw out the ones you don’t use? No, you keep them around for the next time you need one so you don’t have to buy another box of them.

I use tackle boxes rather than jars as I normally only deal with smaller stuff.

  13. I’d be more concerned about that electric outlet that doesn’t have a cover plate on it…

  15. This workbench seems fairly neat and organized to me. I had no idea that being thrifty made you a redneck.

  17. If recycling makes you a redneck…..count me IN!! In the barn we not only have the jars, but…. remember vhs tapes? You used to be able to buy stack-able drawers to keep them in. Found a bunch of these babies for free, used a little imagination and they’re great tool drawers!

  19. Dang right I use jars for storing things! Nuts, bolts, washers etc in the tool room and two jars full of buttons in the house. Plus I keep a dozen empty jars out in the barn for backup. sometimes, I get a jar and think “that’s a keeper”, and I check my stash of empties to see what can be tossed. I like to keep a round dozen, otherwise you just have too many jars. I also buy vinegar by the gallon, so I have a couple old jack daniels bottles for vinegar and things like that. The square bottles store more efficiently. Yes, I removed the labels!
