car stereo stolen fix (two pictures)

The submitter wrote: “My first aftermarket radio was ripped out of my car, causing considerable damage. I bought a new one, and had to manufacture a new mounting system. I used plywood, and some 1×2’s, and built a new “plate” to hold the new stereo in. It is screwed in from the front, and four screws on the sides hold it in the car’s dash. It works great, but does not look so great! I am the owner of the repair, and I took the picture.”

  7. Yeah, if you didn’t paint the shit neon blue it would look half decent. Just paint it black.

  9. My friend’s anti-stereo-theft technique was soldering razor blades to the back of the stereo. It still got ripped off, but the pool of blood gave some satisfaction.

  11. That actually doesn’t look so bad, but ya should’ve given that plywood a coat or two of gloss black…
